Kim, Lacy and I had makeovers Saturday at JcPenny's before we went out for round two of Lacy's 30th B-day. We had a fun time trying new products and learning a few new trick....well there was one product I was interested in, I tried it out and now I will never leave the house without it. Here is the pitch.......
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer Your full-coverage insurance policy against all fading, creasing, melting, blurring, oil slicked and hard-to-blend eye-shadow accidents. Our silicone based eye-shadow primer transforms any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of its self, then locks it down perfectly `till you take it off. Our skin soothing formula evens out the skin tone on your lids and smoothes out lines while it secures a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup, so no shadow catastrophes will ever happen again. "Thank you Shadow Insurance, I can sleep better at night knowing you're on my side!"
OK that last bit was a little corney. Anyway, I just had to share this AWESOME product. I've used it everyday and my eyeshadow looks great ALL DAY!

As of 3:30 today....my Spring Break is over. I'm a little sad but a little happy too. Sad because it passed so quickly but happy to know summer will be here soon! Here is a list of 10 things I did over Spring Break... 1. listened to birds with Reed 2. relaxed at home...alone 3. painted a picture of a birthday cake with Taylor 4. donated 10 bags of stuff to a thrift shop 5. cooked Jarrod his favorite dinner...Ziti 6. flew a kite 7. celebrated my sister's 30 b-day...Irish style 8. played Rock Band at the Wilson's, twice 9. celebrated Reed's 2nd b-day 10. visited with family
Our sweet baby sister turned...gulp... 30...on St. Patrick's Day! It's really a cool birthday. Your birthday theme is always Irish, shamrocks and rainbows and your guaranteed all green gifts! Last night was no different. We all got decked out in our Irish/shamrock/green attire and headed over to Mamacitas for dinner and drinks. Our green gifts this year was a green purse with a green alligator print wallet and green flip flops! Plus, Kim put together a super cute little photo album of random pics. 30 years of giggles and mood swings! Then on to Sherlock's Pub. The place was packed, but so fun. People really turned on the green. Lacy's shirt was the best....Born Lucky! Happy O'Birthday Lacy!
Reed was selected as the STAR of the week. He will have his STAR info and pictures posted outside of his classroom all week. Way to go Reed! I couldn't just fill it in because A) I have horrible handwriting and B) I'm and art teacher... I can be a little creative. So I collaged his info.
Other things I want people to know about my sugar man......Reed loves to talk about dogs, balls and books. He loves to dance...just as much as Taylor. He's got an excellent aerobes. When he sings his voice changes....to a bass. He's definitely not a tenor. He's a fighter not a lover. Except when he has a bobo. All his bobo's need kisses.
Well, not me. :) Cindy, our Life Skills teacher is the TOTY. I voted for her so I feel it was meant to be. And you want to know the funny thing.....she won by one vote. hee hee It was meant to be. :) I love my job and enjoy going to work everyday. The nomination has made me want to be a better teacher so when the vote comes my way again....I will definitely vote differently.
This weekend I made two batches of cake balls....1) classic yellow cake, vanilla icing with chocolate coating and 2) strawberry cake, strawberry icing with white coating. Both were very delicious! I'm so excited, they are so easy to make. I'll definitely make this my signature dessert. My old signature dessert was mint brownies.
1 box of your favorite brownie mix 1 box of Andes Mints 1 cute tin
Bake brownies according to instructions on box. Once out of the oven and hot, unwrap mints and place on top of hot brownies. Use a spoon to spread melted mints evenly over the top of the brownies. They are ready to eat once cooled and mints harden. I then cut them into bite size pieces and transfer them to a cute tin.
