Last Sunday, for Father's Day, we took the kids to the movies to see Up!This was our second trip to the movies, we took the kids last month to see Monsters vs. Aliens. Taylor loves the movies. Reed....he's not a movie watcher. He's pretty busy so he wiggled and moved back and forth between Jarrod and I most of the time. You can see from the picture that he eventually sat still...unfortunately it was because he fell asleep. I liked the movie however, I didn't expect to cry like three times. It's sad but very sweet!
We met up with Robyn, Lauren and Evan early Wednesday for a play date at Palm Beach in Galveston. I love this place! For me it's the perfect place to getaway and play in the sun. The kids loved it too. They enjoyed the red and yellow water slide. Reed is a little small to go down by himself so lucky me I get to ride too. I loved listening to him giggle all the way down. We were there about 4 hours. The girls enjoyed swiming, the boy enjoyed the sand toys and Robyn and I were proud of ourselves for going to the beach with 4 kids. Yea us! Now that we have our membership, we will be visiting Palm Beach for many more fun play dates.
Last weekend we played on the boardwalk in Kemah. We road the rides and watched the boats sailing in the water. The kids loved the rides especially the carousel. It was a great way to kick off our super summer!
Summer is officialy here! I completed my 2nd year of teacher and it feels great. I have the next 9 weeks off. YEA!!! I have informed Taylor that we will be spending time at the beach, going to the movies and going to the library...and of course she added...and Chucky Cheese. :) I think that sounds like a pretty good summer.
Holly Cow it's 102!! It's HOT!!!! What to do...what to do? How about buy a water-slide! Well, we did and let me tell you...we love it!! Yes I said we, Jarrod and I had fun playing on it too. Taylor won't slide down it without her daddy, he makes it more fun and fast! And Reed, he's our little fish! Of course we had to have a popsicle break too! What a great weekend...can't wait to play on it next weekend!

Last week we experienced the Boomerang Express during our VBS week at First Baptist Church Dickinson. What a great week! 5 days, 178 children, 20 decisions for Christ!! Our motto was "It All Comes Back to Jesus!" This was my second year as craft director....what a blessing.!! The energy during this week fills my cup!! I grew up at FBCD and attended many VBSs as a child and youth and now as an adult. I am so happy I am able to share this fun week with my children!
Best news about VBS.....Kanon became a Christian! Happy Christian Birthday to you Kanon Ball!
